Each of the FVL Schools partners have a strong history of providing families of the Fox River Valley with an excellent and affordable Christian education for their children. FVL Schools is a partnership of 24 Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Schools partners (18 elementary schools, 5 child care centers, and Fox Valley Lutheran High School) that span the Valley. As partners, these schools work together on a preschool - 12th grade curriculum as well as offering joint sports, music, and academic enrichment programs to over 3000 students.
Schools are located from Green Bay on the north to Oshkosh on the south, Weyauwega to the west and Brillion to the east. Over a half dozen schools are conveniently located in the greater Appleton area.
Fox Valley Lutheran High School
FVL is a Lutheran high school that offers its students a wide variety of experiences and opportunities. While some schools pride themselves on their college prep curriculum, FVL welcomes students of all achievement levels. From our Guided Studies program to our College Credit capable courses, our teachers strive to bring out the best in our students.
Education is more than academics. Students need to grow academically, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. We encourage our students to make the most of their God-given talents and abilities. About 90 percent of our students pursue studies after high school, either on the university or technical college level. Others move on to the military or the world of work. Some study to serve in Christian ministry as teachers, staff ministers, or pastors.
Martin Luther College
The mission of Martin Luther College is to train a corps of Christian witnesses who are qualified to meet the ministry needs of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and who are competent to proclaim the Word of God faithfully and in accord with the Lutheran Confessions in the Book of Concord.
To fulfill this mission, Martin Luther College carries out all instruction and programs of student life according to the gospel as revealed in the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary
The purpose of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary is to equip pastors for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod or for churches and cultural groups within its confessional fellowship .
In partnership with sister seminaries and theological training programs of its fellowship, WLS accomplishes that singular purpose with two distinct emphases:
Primarily, WLS prepares men to begin pastoral ministry by providing the spiritual, theological, and professional training needed to enter that ministry.
WLS also partners with pastors in their ministry-long pursuit of spiritual, theological, and professional growth in all their God-given callings.
Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod
WELS is a group of more than 360,000 men, women, and children in nearly 1,300 congregations across the United States and Canada united by a common faith in Christ’s saving love. We are committed to a common calling—encouraging each other in our faith and sharing God’s gift of a Savior with the rest of the world.
The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod exists to give all glory to God by upholding, defending, and proclaiming the truth of the Holy Scriptures as articulated in the Lutheran Confessions, and by providing a means for congregations and their members to extend the reach of their God-given mission of proclaiming the gospel in Word and sacrament through joint mission efforts at home and abroad, the training of called workers, and coordination of gospel applications to encourage spiritually healthy called workers in spiritually healthy congregations and schools.
